The new technologies are providing learning processes with new tools and resources, and are enabling the development of e-learning to take place. E-learning has many advantages: each individual can choose when, where (at home, on the bus, at work, on the train, etc.) and at what pace he or she wants to learn. All the user needs is a computer or phone.
The Elhuyar Foundation has also taken the road to e-learning and has participated in the Moblang European project. It is a system for learning languages via one’s mobile phone, and the application to learn Basque from Spanish has been developed by the Elhuyar Foundation.
